Opry Performance of the Week: Tucker Beathard - C&I Magazine

Singer-songwriter Tucker Beathard has some pretty big shoes to fill and footsteps to follow. His father, Casey, has co-written Top 10 country songs for superstars Gary Allan, Billy Ray Cyrus, Trace Adkins, Kenny Chesney, and Eric Church; while his brother, C.J., is a new quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers.

With music and sports running in his blood, Beathard gave up a college baseball scholarship to pursue a deeper passion in songwriting, a move that earned him a spot with Dot Records.

A self-taught guitarist, the Nashville native developed his musical style from rock legends Led Zeppelin, Joe Walsh, and Hank Williams. His songwriting is reminiscent of his father’s: country through and through. The result is country rock with a grunge flair.

Tough and timeless, this polo is built for the long ride. Featuring a crisp, non-collapsing collar and a rugged, stretchy fabric, it's the perfect shirt for any cowboy's wardrobe.

Since the release of his first EP, Fight Like Hell, last year, Beathard has been walking the same road to success. And since last month’s release of his first full studio album, Dear Someone, the multitalented musician’s newest singles are soaring up the charts.

For our Opry Performance of the Week, we’ve chosen Beathard’s Opry debut, when he thrilled the audience with his heartfelt delivery and guitar chops on “Momma and Jesus.”
