Will Wilcox Aces 17th at Sawgrass, Celebrates Like Crazy

May 13, 2016

We aren’t sure which was better: Will Wilcox’s ace or the ensuing celebration.

The 29-year-old Wilcox recorded a hole-in-one on the iconic 147-yard par-3 17th hole of the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass during the second round of the Players Championship on Friday.

After Wilcox’s ball found the hole, he went nuts and jumped into his caddie’s arms. He then high-fived the gallery all the way down to the green.

It was the first ace in more than 6,300 tee shots at the 17th and seventh overall during the Players. The last one came from Miguel Angel Jimenez in 2002. Wilcox’s ace moved him to 5-under for the tournament.
